At our luxury B&B you can enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay in the stunning countryside of Wensleydale in the Yorkshire Dales. Redmire is ideally positioned between Leyburn and Aysgarth Falls and provides a central base for touring the Yorkshire countryside. Three large beautiful rooms, all with beamed ceilings and seating areas, including one with a double spa bath & body jet shower. Luxury bedding, super soft towels & bathrobes, luxurious 'Temple Spa' toiletries and a well-stocked fridge with fresh milk, water and cordials are all provided.

On arrival guests can enjoy complimentary tea/coffee with homemade cake and biscuits in the guest lounge (in winter warm up in front of the open fire). After a good night’s sleep an award winning breakfast is cooked to order using local produce and fresh home baked bread.

The Old Town Hall is rated 5 Gold Stars with a Breakfast Award by The AA, this requires key areas of the business to be of an equal quality and the standards of service and hospitality to be excellent.

We have three large luxurious rooms that have been individually designed to ensure you have a comfortable stay.

If you need to stay in touch with the outside world superfast broadband Wi-Fi is available throughout the building.

We have a private car park at the rear of the building and the local pub, serving good food, is only 150 metres away.  There are plenty good restaurants nearby.

We have secure storage for bicycles and washing/drying facilities for walking boots and clothing.

As many of our guests come to stay with us for a relaxing time (including parents enjoying a romantic weekend away without children) we only accept guests over the age of 18.

We do not accept pets, except assistance dogs. Please note if you have pet allergies we have a resident friendly cocker spaniel dog called "Bodger".  (He is not allowed in the guest areas).

Breakfast

Breakfast at The Old Town Hall is a leisurely affair and hot dishes are cooked to order.  We like to support local producers and suppliers and serve their produce where possible.

Special dietary requirements

We want all our guests to feel completely comfortable during their stay with us, and this includes ensuring that special dietary requirements are catered for. We offer gluten free, lactose free, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan options wherever we can.  Please let us know at the time of booking so that we can ensure we have produce available.

Had a cracking weekend staying here, have no doubts if you are considering booking it. The food is cooked with 5* ingredients and that continue throughout every aspect of this B&B along with lovely hosts.

“Top class stay”

We stopped at The Old Town Hall bed & breakfast bank holiday in May 2017. The owners David and Louise are lovely people, nothing is too much trouble to make your stay perfect. Ask them about their home made jams and lemon drizzle cake. The whole place is spotless and comfortable. The breakfast is delicious and piping hot plus home made bread. Free parking area. Well worth a visit.

“Fabulous Stay!”

Spent last weekend at The Old Town Hall, and the only disappointment was we only stayed 2 nights! From our arrival to our departure, it was nothing short of perfection. The hosts, David and Louise, are so welcoming and friendly, and on hand to offer assistance whenever required. We asked for a little advice on local attractions and thanks to Davids suggestions we visited some lovely places and saw fantastic views. Our room was beautiful, as was the breakfast room. The food served was freshly cooked/baked (gorgeous homemade bread and cakes!) and all delicious. We were greeted on both afternoons of our stay with tea and cake, a lovely touch. The village of Redmire is also very pretty. Could not recommend this place highly enough! Fantastic.

Just returned from a three night stay at this beautiful B&B in a lovely peaceful location. David and Louise are two of the nicest people you could wish to meet and obviously pride themselves on providing outstanding accommodation ,amazing breakfasts and very high standards. An amazing hidden gem, upon arrival we were greeted by Louise and David, two lovely people who welcomed us into their home.Beautiful accomodation with attention to detail in all areas, added extras were lovely,such as chocolates and wine in our room.Breakfasts were lovely, tasteful and served beautifully to your table. Perfect stay to celebrate a special birthday, if you are looking for a quiet weekend away in a lovely village look no further than here. Pub in village serves fabulous pub grub, great beer and atmosphere.Another great pub to try is the wheatchief in a local nearby village. Thank you Louise and David for making my birthday very special and rememberable. We will certainly be returning.

“Customer service of the highest quality”

Enjoyed a two night break at very short notice. Met the current owners who have maintained, nay, I would say even improved upon the previous owners very high standards. The breakfasts are wonderful and in particular the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon is the finest I have ever tasted. We will no doubt be back later in the year to make the most of a beautiful part of the country.

Wonderful B&B experience, set in glorious countryside. Breakfast is possibly the best I've had in any paid for accommodation- just lovely. Louis and David are such warm and welcoming hosts, can recommend this B&B without hesitation.
