Golden Lion Hotel, Horton-in-Ribblesdale

Michael and family, your hosts have been at the golden lion for 26 years after buying it in January 1988. The building had been used as an outdoor centre before that and required extensive renovation before opening back as a hotel on 14th may, 1988. During renovation an ancient well over 45ft deep was discovered to the rear of the hotel. The well has been made into an interesting feature.

The Red Lion, Burnsall

The Red Lion is a historic 16th century coaching Inn set on the banks of the River Wharfe. This cosy hideaway is the perfect destination for romantic weekend away, a midweek escape, or a family holiday in the Yorkshire Dales. The Dales Way passes through Burnsall on it’s way to nearby Grassington, or you can walk southwards to Appletreewick and beyond.

The menu includes hearty dishes, pub classics, delicious desserts and good options for guests with dietary requirements. There are daily specials, and the Sunday lunch is extremely popular. The well-stocked bar serves award winning Thwaites cask ales, and a choice of wines, beers, ciders, cocktails, spirits and soft drinks.
