Little Seed Field, Ripon
Wild Glamping and Bespoke Outdoor Event Venue in the Yorkshire Dales
Welcome to Little Seed Field, a unique glamping site established on a working dairy farm perched on the wild heather moorlands of Nidderdale in Yorkshire. Our octagonal cabins offer a unique accommodation experience. Stay with us for a cosy night by the camp fire and retire to your memory foam bed, feather duvets and panoramic views of the dales. Situated between Pateley Bridge and Ripon, the farm land boasts dramatic views over the surrounding valley and heather moorland. Our remote location allows you to host a genuinely private event and provides a stunning, wild backdrop for a truly bespoke wedding and entertainment venue.
We love Yorkshire and are really proud of our heritage. We believe we are truly fortunate to live and work where we do - our little glamping site provides us with the opportunity to share a part of what we love with our guests!
In establishing our site we have tried to retain the natural wilderness of the landscape. The cabins nestle in amongst the boulders, trees and rushes that have settled and established themselves on the edge of our farmland. We have worked hard to ensure that our wild deer, birds of prey and natural flora are disturbed as little as possible.
The site itself boasts stunning views of the Nidderdale valley. The cabins are secluded and peaceful, interrupted only by the grazing cattle or wild birdsong. By night, a clear sky provides the most amazing view of the starlit sky. On the colder, wilder days our insulated cabins are kept toasty warm with log burners allowing you to hunker down, relax and escape.
Our ethos here is one of discovery – we are working hard to discover new ways of sustaining, managing and supporting our fourth generation farming business; we hope that our guests discover the natural beauty and wilderness of the Yorkshire Dales and life off the beaten track.
Wild Glamping Cabins at Little Seed Field
Our site is not a landscaped holiday park. Our cabins have been built sympathetically with the landscape. Due to this and our remote location, the cabins do not have en-suite bathroom facilities. These are shared and provided in a separate amenity building a short walk from the cabins.
The centrally heated amenity building contains wet rooms and a small kitchenette facility. Here you can source water, use the toaster, microwave and kettle and wash-up your cabin supplies.
Car parking is kept a short walk from the cabin site. We provide you with wheelbarrows to transport your luggage along the footpaths to the cabins.
What you need to bring
Our site can be quite exposed to the elements and is remote so we recommend that our guests bring warm clothing, their wellies and a torch! Our water supply is from a natural spring and as part of our plan to minimise the impact on our environment, we encourage our guests to use our water sparingly and ask guests to bring bottled water with them (there is a fresh water supply provided in the amenity building).
We provide all bedding required for the double beds, including feather duvets and memory foam pillows. We ask that guests wishing to use the additional bunk beds bring along their own duvets or sleeping bags.
On site there are facilities to make a light breakfast and each cabin has access to a BBQ. We ask that our guests bring their own cool boxes, charcoal, food, drinks and all the other little extras you would take on a camping trip – the closest shop is several miles away so be sure to bring supplies!
Our cabins are designed for indoor footwear only and we ask our guests to leave wellingtons and walking boots in the porch area. Please bring suitable clean footwear for use inside the cabins.

Corporate Events
Little Seed Field can take care of everything – food, drinks, materials and you can also opt to stay the night in the cabins. The cabins are small and cosy, suitable for meeting groups no bigger than eight people. There is plenty of additional outdoor space though and there are five cabins on site – ideal for multiple small meetings or break-out activities.
Looking for a corporate event on a bigger scale – why not hire one of our fields and design your bespoke product launch or corporate bash from scratch? We lease our fields for marquee events and can do as much or as little to help deliver an event that truly breaks the mould!
At Little Seed we believe we offer the ultimate getaway from the office environment, in the heart of the wild Yorkshire Dales with outstanding scenery, bespoke packages and opportunities to get almost completely off-grid (there is no wi-fi here)!
Only a 1 hour drive from Leeds and York and only 25 minutes from Harrogate - contact us today to discuss your team event ideas now.
(Day hire is available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays unless the cabins are also being hired overnight. Subject to availability).

“The cabin was lovely and cosy, it had everything we needed and in a beautiful location. Joanne was very helpful and would definitely recommend staying here! We will be coming back.”
“We got a fire starter kit for when we arrived and the furnace kept the place toasty even when it was very cold outside! The cabins are nicely spread out so you get a wonderful private view. We were happily surprised to find a basket containing plates+bowls+cups and cutlery in our cabin and a selection of board games under the bed. Also the wet rooms are kept very clean and well stocked! (They have a lovely dog too)”
“Beautiful area and the cabins are excellent. The wood burners are a great addition. Be warned the site is very windexposed but then it is Yorkshire! Definitely recommend.”
