The Shepherds Hut

Whether it’s a romantic break or just to escape the bustle of daily life or to explore the local area, The Shepherds Huts is a great place to stay. A traditionally built Shepherds Hut that sleeps two people. It is well insulated so guests can stay comfortable and warm.

Life inside the Shepherds Hut is compact. You will find a beautiful en-suite and comfy double bed. A small kitchen area with fridge, microwave, kettle, and toaster, not to forget the kitchen sink. There is also a tv and hair dryer, and wood burning stove to keep you toasty and warm.

Set in its own little garden area with wooden benches and a fire pit. You will catch glimpses of rabbits, bats, curlew, lapwings, pheasants and the two call ducks, and I am sure that Mog the cat will come say hello, she is often see peeping through the doors.

In the spring you can watch the new born lambs in the field next to the Shepherds Hut. With stunning views and scenery all around the Shepherds Hut it is a great place to relax and unwind.

“Great location and warm welcome ”

Great location for walking in the dales and beautiful views to wake up to. Lovely cakes provided by Liz when we got back each day and good breakfast. Easy to walk to nearby pub - cavendish arms which had good home cooked food.

“Another fantastic stay”

This was my 3rd visit to Crown Cottage and certainly won't be the last. It is absolutely first class, spotlessly clean, good, home-cooked breakfast, nothing is too much trouble for Liz, the owner. It makes for a very good base for visiting the surrounding area. There are some great pubs and a very good Italian restaurant in nearby Skipton. The scenery is stunning - even on a cold February morning! Can't wait to go again.

“Amazing”

We chose this place from Farm stay uk and was not disappointed. Lovely room and amazing views. Fresh milk in the room is a bonus and a lovely breakfast. Splendid views. In a lovely quiet location. An enjoyable stay

“Super”

A great place to stay. A quiet and peaceful location, with views to die for. A very friendly welcome from Liz, a shed to lock our bikes away safely, tea/coffee/chocolate and home made cake in the rooms, and a little fridge with fresh milk and chilled water .... and the breakfast - fruit and fruit juices, cereals, porage, full Yorkshire breakfast with golden yellow eggs, or lighter bites. There are three bedrooms - two en-suite and the third smaller but with its own separate huge private bathroom. there's also a sitting room for guests, with comfy seating, games, guide books, TV and log fire for the winter.
