Park Hill B&B
17 Grassington Road
Park Hill B&B, Skipton
Park Hill B&B is run by Anne and Lindsay and offers four well appointed quality en suite rooms - three king sized double en suite rooms and one twin room with en suite shower and bath. All are well equipped with complimentary Croft Sherry, hospitality tray, flat screen tvs, dvd players and a library of dvds to choose from, free computer and wifi access, hairdryer. (Sorry no irons in the rooms but we are more than happy to press any clothes you require.) Lindsay is a retired hotelier with a wealth of local information to share with his visitors to this part of Yorkshire, rightly called Gateway to The Dales.
Lindsay is reknowned for his superb Yorkshire breakfasts. Start with a choice of yoghurts, cereals, fresh fruit platter, health bar with fruits nuts and seeds, ham, cheeses, then on to the main event, cooked to order. We try to use as many local products as possible.
The award winning thick pork sausages are excellent, the eggs are fresh from the local farm, home grown tomatoes whenever available. Breads from the local bakery. A good selection of home made jams and marmalades. And we are happy to cater for vegetarians! - There is ample private parking.
My wife and I stayed for 3 nights. Ann and Lindsay were great hosts with a wealth of local knowledge. The room and facilities were amazing. The complimentary breakfast was offered in typical Yorkshire fashion exceeding all expectations, beautiful and filling, which sets the day up for a great adventure through the Yorkshire dales. Thanks Ann and Lindsay for your hospitality, you were a great team and our stay was amazing. We will definitely stay again when in Yorkshire.
"Excellent B&B in lovely Skipton"
Fantastic B&B within walking distance of the market town of Skipton and all the bars restaurants and shops. Couldn't fault anything from the spotlessly clean and spacious rooms, comfy beds, off street parking, lovely fresh and tasty breakfasts and of course the warm and friendly welcome we got from the owners Ann and Lyndsay. Highly Recommended.
Stayed here one night whilst walking the Dales Highway. A warm welcome was received, a lovely large room equipped with everything you could desire. Breakfast was the highlight, can still taste the full English especially the tomatoes.
“Welcoming and excellent”
Arrived to a warm welcome, rooms beautiful and tastefully decorated with quality linen. All you could need in the way of toiletries and extras if you should need them in the way of toothpastes, lotions etc were available in a basket on the landing, although we didn't use any this was a good idea. There was also a fridge on the landing with fresh milk and water, this was free, also along with beer, wine chocolate and crisps with an honesty box. 10 minute walk into skipton, after a good night sleep even though didn't take the offer of another nice touch of a carafe of sherry in the room! Breakfast was one of the best we have had, very fresh with assortment of cereals, nuts and seeds, cold meat and cheese. Fruit juice, tea, coffee. Fresh fruit on the table, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, pineapple, melon and grapes. A choice of bacon, eggs, sausage, tomatoes, black pudding, potato cakes and beans were also offered, and finally toast with preserves. This is certainly a beautiful home with only 4 bedrooms one of which is a four poster all decorated beautiful. As you can probably tell we enjoyed our stay and was made very welcome and look forward to visiting again. Thanks again.
“Excellent location and excellent breakfast”
This is a great B and B with friendly welcoming hosts, a great freshly cooked breakfast and convenient position for walking into Skipton or visiting The Dales. The rooms were well equipped and comfortable. The bed we slept in was a little too soft for my taste but that's only personal taste and would still give it 5 stars.
