Our Parks

York House Holiday Park

In the hamlet of Balk, York House Holiday Park extends to 23 acres and offers 11-month licences on all its holiday homes near Thirsk. With a good selection of plots, it has a quiet, spacious feel, and unrivalled views across the countryside to the Hambleton Hills. The park is 5-star rated by the tourist board and holds the David Bellamy Gold Award. York House is ideal for families, who can enjoy the five-acre playing field, play area, and indoor games area. Visitors of all ages love The Old Barn Coffee Shop at the entrance, offering hand-made and home-cooked meals and treats.

Just over the road from York House is Monk Park. With only 22 plots, this is the ideal spot if you’re looking for true peace and tranquillity. Both parks offer holiday homes near Thirsk, just three miles away and with quiet footpaths taking you from Balk into the heart of the town with its independent shops and inviting restaurants and cafes. Make sure you don’t miss the regular market days on a Monday and Saturday for even more variety.

Abbots Green Holiday Park

Abbots Green Holiday Park is a little piece of paradise. Our luxury holiday lodges in North Yorkshire are set in spacious surroundings with a private lake. The park holds the David Bellamy Gold Award for encouraging wildlife, and is rated 5 stars by the Tourist Board. Make the most of your leisure time and weekends by owning one of our prestigious lodges and use it as a base for exploring the North York Moors, Yorkshire Dales and dramatic coast around Whitby, Scarborough and Robin Hood’s Bay.

Abbots Green is a short 15 minute bike ride from the thriving market town of Thirsk with its shops, pubs and cafes. Experience the tranquillity of Abbots Green for yourself. Try before you buy in one of our two luxury hire lodges.

Old Hall Holiday Park

Perfect holiday homes near Boroughbridge are on offer at the beautiful Old Hall Holiday Park, just a few minutes’ walk from the town centre. In the village of Langthorpe, adjacent to Boroughbridge, Old Hall Holiday Park is beautifully maintained and looks particularly stunning on a summer’s day. As well as the private plots for each owner, there’s a fantastic games room featuring pool and snooker tables, a selection of books to borrow, tea and coffee making facilities, and free WiFi.

The park is on a former Saxon farmstead, mentioned in the Domesday book, and there is plenty more history to explore in the surrounding area. From here, you can also walk into town in just five minutes to enjoy the independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants – or stay put and explore the wildlife at our David Bellamy Gold Award-winning park.

Public transport will take you to York, Ripon, Harrogate or further afield, while the A1(M) is just a few minutes’ drive away, giving easy access to the wider Yorkshire region and the rest of the UK. As well as static homes on nine- and eleven-month licences, there are 18 touring pitches including some which are let on a seasonal or part-seasonal basis.

Swaleside Holiday Park

With the advantage of the River Swale running through, Swaleside Holiday Park near Thirsk is extremely popular with fishing enthusiasts. All our residents are welcome to fish here throughout their 11-month licence, and we always celebrate a good catch! Set in the village of Topcliffe, the park is an easy walk from two pubs, a small shop and an active village hall. The village is just off the A168 which takes you into Thirsk in just a few minutes, and a short drive from the A1(M) for access further afield.

On site, there’s a great space for events – residents are welcome to join the weekly craft group, or have fun at the parties organised in the summer, at Halloween, and at other times of the year. When demand is high, we often move up to the function room at the village hall to accommodate even more guests!

The park also includes a woodland dog walk area – and the Woodlands development of just 18 secluded plots is surrounded by trees, too.

Quarry Moor and New Park

Quarry Moor and New Park sit side-by-side on the outskirts of a historic city with outstanding transport links. Perfect for over 50s, these residential parks in Ripon offer a peaceful home within easy reach of local amenities and attractions.

Developed over many years, the parks are filled with greenery and full of wildlife throughout the year. Each plot is set back from the main driveway, giving a feeling of space and privacy. Owners can enjoy a peaceful and relaxing way of life, benefiting from their own space to call home – yet within a small and friendly community.

The parks boast the advantage of having a regular, reliable bus service into Harrogate and Ripon stopping at the end of the drive, up to every 15 minutes, seven days a week. From here, you can explore the history of one of the UK’s smallest cities, once home to Lewis Carrol.

The weekly market in the city centre is a great attraction for locals. Make sure you visit the stunning Ripon Cathedral and the World Heritage Site of Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Gardens on the outskirts of the city.

Quarry Moor and New Park are within easy travelling distance of the spa town of Harrogate, the historic city of York, and even the North Yorkshire coast for day trips. With so much to explore, you will never be short of things to do – and always with a warm, welcoming home to welcome you back.

Castlewigg Holiday Park

A very warm welcome at our small friendly holiday park in Scotland, in the heart of the Machars peninsula. Whether it be private ownership of a static caravan holiday home, a touring or a camping pitch you require, Castlewigg is the perfect place for your well deserved holiday.

We are situated 18 miles south of Newton Stewart and 2 miles north of Whithorn on the A746, surrounded by beautiful unspoilt countryside, and with sandy beaches just 5 miles away, it is an ideal retreat for those seeking peace and tranquillity and outdoor activity. Walking, cycling, birdwatching and a number of outstanding golf courses to test your skills are just a few of the activities on offer.

With the Gulf Stream giving our mild climate, the area has many gardens including Galloway House, Castle Kennedy and Logan Botanical boasting a range of tropical plants.

Castlewigg Caravan Park is an ideal base for exploring Wigtownshire, with the beautiful countryside, coastlines and towns and villages of the Machars. Be it, the pretty harbour town of Whithorn, Garlieston and Port William, or the booktown of Wigtown, or the golden sands at Monreith beach, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
