Golden Lion Hotel, Horton-in-Ribblesdale
Michael and family, your hosts have been at the golden lion for 26 years after buying it in January 1988. The building had been used as an outdoor centre before that and required extensive renovation before opening back as a hotel on 14th may, 1988. During renovation an ancient well over 45ft deep was discovered to the rear of the hotel. The well has been made into an interesting feature.
All our bedrooms are en-suite with full central heating. They are equipped with colour televisions and tea/coffee making facilities. Price includes a full English breakfast 8.30 – 9.30 for the very early risers a continental breakfast can be arranged and we will show you where to help yourself the night before.
All rooms have superb views over pen-y-ghent (we ask for muddy, wet clothes and boots be removed before going to your room please).
The triple room consists of one set of full size bunk beds and one single bed.
The bunkroom consists of fifteen beds: three high in one room and a separate room with two toilets and two showers.
The cost is 12.00 per person per night payable on booking please. You need to bring your own bedding and towels etc., as they are not provided.
A tasty packed lunch @ £6.50 can be ordered the night before while the kitchen is open and taken if having an early start. (Please tell us if you are vegetarian)

We have a large spacious dining room, seating eighty plus which is used for breakfast, lunch and dinner. During the season a carvery is offered every Friday and Saturday night at a cost of £8.95 one serving of beef, ham and Yorkshire pudding, or chilli, or lasagne or veggie lasagne/mousaka. Help yourself to as much as you would like of a selection of six veg, roast potato, new potato, chips and salad. Home made beef gravy to complete your meal. A carvery ticket is purchased from the bar and you can be enjoying your meal within fifteen minutes.
