Your breakfast is freshly prepared using the finest ingredients including bacon, sausage and eggs all provided by the award winning Cracoe farm.

 

If guests particularly fancy something that's not on the menu, we'll be delighted to prepare it if possible.

About Us & Around

 

Our luxury Bed and Breakfast in the Yorkshire Dales lies on the edge of stunning open countryside, facing the short lane leading up from Linton's village green. Set in pretty landscaped grounds with easy parking, outdoor seating, and a sun-trap patio to enjoy the frequent sunny days.

 

The Village of Linton

 

An unspoilt and picturesque village, Linton nestles in the beautiful countryside of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, yet it's only 10-15 minutes (8-9 miles) by car from the market town of Skipton, the Gateway to the Dales.

 

We are lucky that our luxury Bed and Breakfast in the Yorkshire Dales is situated in one of the prettiest villages in Wharfedale, Linton sits around the large green, which gently slopes down to the beck running through the middle of the village. With a population of ducks, it's a lovely spot to while away an afternoon feeding the ducks and relaxing in the sunshine. Facing the green is the renowned Fountaine Inn, an attraction in its own right and deservedly so. With a selection of hand-pulled beers, a good wine list, and excellent menu, it has a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere with roaring log fires on chilly days. Offering a choice of snacks to enjoy in the snug or on the green depending on the weather and contemporary dining in the spacious restaurant.

 

Close by are the incredible Linton Falls, carved through the limestone by the River Wharfe. A large footbridge spans the river giving spectacular views of the falls and up river to the weir where the water powered one of the first public electricity supplies in England.

 

Grassington

 

A little further on and within easy walking distance is the pretty town of Grassington, it's a popular spot for afternoon tea and to browse the shops. Grassington also hosts a remarkable festival of the arts during June with an impressive line up of internationally known performance artists. In December visitors come for the Dickensian Christmas street markets when the town is thrown back to the days of Charles Dickens with lots of attractions for all the family. Linton Laithe is ideally located however you decide to enjoy the stunning Dales countryside.

 

Whether you're looking for time to relax in the peace and quiet or more active pursuits, rambling or trekking, mountain biking or tackling the river Wharfe by canoe, there's a side of the Dales to suit you.

 

Whilst only 10-15 minutes (8-9 miles) by car from Skipton, Linton Laithe nestles in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. "Delightful B&B!”

 

Lovely and friendly b&b run by Claire and her family. The bedrooms are bigger and far nicer than much more expensive hotels in and around the area so why go anywhere else. The old barn has been very tastefully converted to a very high standard andkitted out with high quality furnishings and fittings. Dog friendly and in the perfect location in Linton, a small but beautiful village with itrs own excellent pubrestaurant and just a 20 minute scenic walk away from Grassington. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in the southern Dales then look no further.

What a truly beautiful place to stay, very clean, lovely owner (Claire), so welcoming, very comfortable bed and our doggies were made very welcome too. We woke to a very heartwarming breakfast, tasty sausages and the best poached eggs we have ever tasted.

Perfect Place to stay! Amazing views and luxury Rooms! Run by the kindest and most caring family! Why Go Anywhere Else?! The glorious walks are definitely worth a trip into the Yorkshire dales, many pubs to have a leisurely drink and grab a bite.

 

“Charming and Comfortable”

 

You have to know where you're going to find the Linton Laithe B&B, but you'll be very happy you found it! It's not actually hard to find, it's just that, well, Linton is a bit off the main road. And that's a great part of the charm.

 

The B&B actually is in an old barn -- and you would never, ever know it. Ever. The bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable; our bed was fantastic, with great pillows; the bathroom also was quite spacious and modern.

 

Breakfast was served with a warm smile and cheery conversation. It's obvious this is a labor of love, which makes a stay here all the more relaxing and fulfilling.

 

If you are venturing through the Yorkshire Dales, and wonder, "Should I stay here?", our answer would be a resounding, "YES!"

Once again returned to this fantastic B & B in the beautiful Dales village on Linton in Craven. There are many walks for both the experienced and novice walker and the lovely village of Grassington is a short easy walk away across the beautiful Linton Falls. As with our previous reviews of Linton Laithe we cannot praise Mike, Sean and the whole experience enough. It's always spotless, the breakfast is always spot on (and huge, particularly the "Des" sandwich !!) and both Sean and Mike are as good as hosts (and friends) as you could ever wish to meet. Really looking forward to revisiting in December :-)
