Classic Double Rooms
Most of the ground & first floor bedrooms hold king size beds (5ft), some of which twin or can be left as a super king. Many rooms enjoy views looking over the Italian box garden whilst others look towards the landscaped garden/car park. The perfect choice of accommodation in the Yorkshire Dales.
The Classic and Deluxe Double Rooms are known for the views they offer our guests. These rooms are held in the new wing, on the ground and first floor of the hotel. The bedrooms are designed and decorated to reflect a more modern time and as always facilities such as the large marble bathrooms and high speed WiFi connection are a standard within the entire hotel.
Luxury Double Rooms
Located in the 18th century part of the house there is a range of four poster beds, or double (5ft) and super king (6ft) or twin rooms . These rooms are gently themed and are named after the local family connections. All our rooms have the most wonderful comfortable beds , we know you just won't want to leave our Yorkshire accommodation.
The main appeal of these Luxury Double Rooms are their lasting connection to the past and traditional aspects of the 18th century. Rooms as located in the old wing and we've worked hard to retain many of era's characteristics including four poster beds and interior design.
Superior Double Rooms
Accommodation in the Yorkshire Dales is a treat and even more so when staying in one of our Superior Double Rooms in the original part of the house with large four poster beds and lounge areas or super king (6ft) & twin rooms on the ground floor overlooking the box garden. Bathrooms are large and some have double hand wash basins. There is also a split level family room (Beamsley) with two bathrooms. The rooms are gently themed and named after local family connections.
Herbert Royle & Lismore Castle Each Suite has a 6ft four poster bed, a large bathroom with a separate walk in shower and Spa bath, sitting room with extra cloakroom, plus a dressing room.
Nidderdale Room (Old Wing)
Similar to Deluxe Double Rooms in the new wing, these rooms are special for being traditional in their style with modern amenities, with lovely views towards the Huffa Bridge Garden and Spa.
Our Deluxe Double Rooms exude elegance, with modern decor yet offering a traditional feel. The views you have from these rooms are stunning and truly add to the magic of staying in the hotel and enjoying the best of Yorkshire living. These rooms are located in the old wing of the establishment, where tradition has been introduced to the modern world.

There are four private rooms, and at lunchtime The Burlington Restaurant, available for your exclusive use with separate kitchens dedicated to catering for your special day. Our events management team has the expertise to ensure your wedding is ‘precision planned’ from choosing reception drinks, menus and wines to table decorations and entertainment, such as guest speakers.
Our events team will be able to guide you and tailor an occasion that is bespoke to you. They are experts in themed occasions and have recommended suppliers on hand, e.g. entertainers, musicians, florists and decorators.

The Devonshire Spa
A beautiful spa in a tranquil Yorkshire setting
The spa is housed in an ancient barn, just a few steps from the hotel. There are four therapy rooms , swimming pool, Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, relaxation space & lounge overlooking tennis courts. It has it's own separate gym next door with cardio, weights & resistance zones so a great place for a total body workout.
It’s true that simply staying at the tranquil, naturally beautiful setting of The Devonshire Arms is therapy enough for some. But we don't just provide our guests with quality accommodation and overnight stay we also invite them to enjoy the spa. It's special and many of our guests care to spoil themselves with a rejuvenating ESPA treatment and a couple of hours of swimming, steaming and, well, just chilling out.
The facilities are open to guests of The Devonshire Arms ,our little sister Devonshire Fell at Burnsall & a small exclusive membership club.
We are sorry but for the comfort of spa users children under the age of 14 are not admitted.
